Lorena D. Jackson (LCSW)

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, and an End-of-Life Doula. Merging my two deepest callings, I founded Melanated Bloom a holistic practice dedicated to nurturing the whole self: mind, body, and spirit. Through compassionate mental health support, integrative wellness practices, and dignified end-of-life care, Melanated Bloom is a space for transformation, where individuals are empowered to bloom at every stage of life, including its final chapter.

I work with adults and older adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, chronic illness, identity-based trauma, grief, bereavement and end-of-life. I take an eclectic approach, tailoring care to meet each person’s unique needs. My commitment is to help clients make meaningful progress and achieve optimal holistic well-being.

Many of the people I support are navigating life stressors, major transitions, or shifts in their medical conditions, often manifesting as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, somatic symptoms, grief or end-of-life. My intention is not to pathologize your experience with another label, but rather to walk alongside you, helping you move through this time with dignity, peace, and a sense of alignment with what matters most to you.

At Melanated Bloom, I don’t believe in simply “getting over” significant life transitions, grief, or trauma. Instead, I honor the journey of moving through these experiences, with self-compassion, grace, and a gentle rediscovery of joy. Through integrative care and a deep reverence for your pain, loss, and resilience, I believe healing is not only possible, it’s sacred.

My goal is to co-create a sacred space where you feel safe, seen, and heard. A place where you can talk about anything without fear of judgment. While I can’t change the past, I’m here to support you in understanding it and in cultivating the strength to navigate life, or end of life, with intention and care.
